A man was 'smashed in the face' with a vodka bottle outside a Nuneaton nightspot. The victim, who has not been identified, needed more than a dozen stitches following the attack.

Police say he was struck in the face by a vodka bottle in the smoking area of the nightspot. He was helped by an off-duty nurse and taken to hospital, where he needed 14 stitches to his face.

Investigations into the incident last September have been ongoing. Police say they have made 'extensive enquiries' but have now released a CCTV image.

They say they need to speak to the man pictured 'as soon as possible'. "If you are this man – or if you know who he is – please call 101 giving crime reference 23/40139/24," said a Warwickshire Police spokesperson.
