A man stabbed to death at a home on a quiet residential road in Tooting has been named by police.

Kyle Maher, 21, died in the early hours Saturday morning after the stabbing in Drakefield Road - the road where he lived - near Tooting Bec tube station.

Paramedics rushed to the scene at about 3am but he was pronounced dead shortly after arriving in hospital.

Richard Wilson-Michael, 29, of Drakefield Road, was charged with his murder on Sunday.

He will appear in custody at Bromley Magistrates' court on Monday charged with murder, grievous bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon.
