Man stabbed after ‘fight breaks out’ on Clapham Common

A man has been stabbed after a fight broke out on Clapham Common on Monday evening.

The Met Police said officers were called to Rookery Road just before 7.30pm where a man in his 20s was found with a suspected stab injury to his neck.

He was taken to hospital where his condition was assessed as not life threatening, the Met said.

Footage posted on social media showed an air ambulance landing at the scene with a large number of police vehicles and ambulance in attendance.

The force added: “A crime scene is in place and enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.

“There have been no arrests at this time.”
