Man stabbed outside shops in Acocks Green
A man is in hospital after he was stabbed outside shops in Acocks Green. Police and paramedics were called to Shirley Road just after 4.30pm today (Thursday, September 12), where they found the injured victim.
He was treated at the scene for injuries not said to be life-threatening before he was taken to hospital. Police are investigating and urging anyone with information to contact them.
The air ambulance was scrambled and landed according to images from the scene.

A spokeswoman from West Midlands Police said: "We were called by ambulance colleagues to a man with a stab injury in Shirley Road, Acocks Green, at just after 4.30pm today.
"Officers attended and found the man being treated by paramedics for an injury which is not believed to be life-changing. He has been taken to hospital for further treatment.
"Enquiries are underway to establish what has happened and trace who is responsible, with CCTV being reviewed in the area. Anyone with information can call us on 101, or message via Live Chat, quoting log 3275 of 12 Sept."
