Man suffers broken nose and cheek after 'unprovoked attack' in Mathew Street bar
A man suffered a broken nose and cheek following an "unprovoked attack" inside a bar. Merseyside Police received a report that a man was punched in the face by another man inside Remeniss bar on Mathew Street, Liverpool city centre at around 11.50pm on Friday, October 18.
It caused the 29-year-old to suffer fractures to his cheek and nose. Police said an investigation is underway and CCTV and witness enquiries are being carried out.
Detectives have now issued CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to as they believe he could have information that could help with their investigation. Detective Inspector Neil Dillon said: “This was a nasty and unprovoked assault on a man who suffered significant injuries to his face.
