Man suffers facial injuries in Leicester street robbery near Victoria Park
A man suffered facial injuries when he was attacked twice during a robbery in Leicester. The man was punched and robbed of his mobile phone by a group of men in London Road, near Victoria Park, Leicestershire Police said today (Monday, January 3).
The incident happened between 7.45pm and 8.15pm on Tuesday, January 23. The victim, who is in his 20s, was near the junction with Salisbury Avenue when he was targeted, said police.
After chasing the suspects into Granville Road, the victim was attacked again when a third man joined the group. Police said the second assault left the victim with facial injuries.

No arrests have been made in connection with the robbery. Detectives are now appealing for witnesses to come forward.
Detective Constable Kate Graham, the investigating officer, said: "I'd like to speak to anyone who saw this incident happen and has information that could help. I'm particularly keen for anyone who filmed it on a mobile phone or captured it on a dashcam, doorbell or CCTV camera to get in touch.
