Man taken to hospital after car crashed into resident's front garden
A MAN is to be questioned by police after a Mercedes “ploughed” through a hedge before coming to a stop in a Bournemouth front garden.
A white Mercedes CLA crashed in Manor Road at around 10.30pm on Saturday, September 30.
It is reported the car had failed to stop for police before the crash and had hit a parking meter and lamppost, according to witnesses.
One woman, who heard the crash, said she opened the curtains to see the car in her front garden and two people “running away from the car”.
Following enquiries, a man in his 50s was arrested on suspicion of driving offences and was taken to hospital as a precaution.
He was later de-arrested and will be interviewed by police at a later date.
