Man taken to hospital after car hits tree on Nottingham road

A man has been taken to hospital after a car crashed into a tree on a main road in Nottingham. Emergency services attended Strelley Road, Bilborough at around 2.45pm today (Thursday, June 5) after reports of the collision.

Police, firefighters and ambulances travelled to the scene of the incident near the junction with Helston Drive. One man was taken to hospital with injuries which are not currently believed to be life-altering or life-threatening, Nottinghamshire Police said.

One lane remains closed while the vehicle is recovered. A police spokesperson said: "We were called to reports of a car colliding with a tree in Strelley Road around 2.45pm today.

"One man is being taken to hospital with injuries which are not currently believed to be life-altering or life-threatening. One lane is closed while recovery of the vehicle takes place and the scene is made safe."
