Man taken to hospital following reports of 'stabbing' on major commuting route
A man was taken to hospital following reports of a stabbing on a busy commuter route in Birmingham. Paramedics were called to Chester Road in Castle Bromwich by police officers just after 9.05am on Thursday (September 12).
They found the victim with injuries not said to be 'life-threatening.' He was treated at the scene before being transferred to hospital.
West Midlands Police said: "We were called yesterday evening (12 September) after a man was assaulted on Chester Road, Castle Bromwich. A man in his 30s suffered a knife injury to the hand, which is not believed to be life-changing. Damage was also caused to his vehicle.

A spokeswoman from the ambulance service said: "We were called by police to reports of a stabbing on Chester Road, Castle Bromwich, Birmingham at 9.04pm. We sent an ambulance to the scene where, on arrival, they found one patient, a man, with injuries not believed to be life-threatening.
"The crew treated the man on scene before conveying him to hospital.”
