Man taken to hospital after incident near woodland in Chislehurst

A man has been taken to hospital after an incident near a woodland in Chislehurst.

Concerns for the welfare of a man were raised in Orpington Road near Marlings Park Avenue just after 3.30pm yesterday (May 23).

Police and London Ambulance Service crews were called to the scene.

An incident response officer, paramedics in fast response cars, and members of the Hazardous Area Response Team also attended.

The man was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital where he remains.

A spokesperson London Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 3.33pm on Thursday 23 May to reports of an incident at the junction of Marlings Park Avenue and Orpington Road, Chislehurst.

“We sent resources to the scene including ambulance crews, an incident response officer, paramedics in fast response cars and members of our Hazardous Area Response Team (HART).

“We treated a patient at the scene before taking him to hospital.”

A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at about 3.49pm on Thursday, 23 May, following concerns for the welfare of a man on Orpington Road, BR7.

“Emergency services attended. The man has been taken to hospital where he currently remains.”
