Man taken to hospital after rush-hour collision between pedestrian and cyclist
A man was taken to hospital after a rush-hour collision on a busy Middlesbrough road.
Police and paramedics attended Marton Road at about 8.30am on Tuesday. A passer-by told Teesside Live a person could be seen lying on the road near the junction with Southfield Road.
An ambulance and police car could be seen parked on Marton Road before an injured man was taken to nearby James Cook University Hospital. The nature of his injuries have not been shared.

A spokeswoman for Cleveland Police said: "There was a report of a collision involving a pedestrian and bicycle around 8.30am. A man was taken to James Cook University Hospital by ambulance. There is currently no update on his injuries."
A spokesperson for the North East Ambulance Service said: "We received a call at 8.26am this morning to reports of a road traffic incident on Marton Road in Middlesbrough. We dispatched an ambulance crew to the scene, and transported one patient to James Cook Hospital for further treatment."
