Man threatened at knifepoint as thugs demand keys to Volkswagen Golf
Two men have pleaded guilty to robbery after they stole a car at knifepoint. Dylan Maskery Hurd, 18, and Callum Talbot, 23, attacked a man and demanded his Volkswagen Golf R keys.
They took them from his pocket during the incident on Brooke Road in Wombourne in September last year. The car was then driven to a car park off Terrace Street in Brierley Hill and abandoned.
Police found the vehicle and used CCTV to help capture the suspects. Thankfully, their victim was not injured in the ordeal, officers have said.

Maskery Hurd, of Hanley in Stoke-on-Trent, and Talbot, of Featherstone in Wolverhampton, were both charged and eventually pleaded guilty to robbery at their court appearance this week. They have both been remanded ahead of their sentencing at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on March 21.
Detective Sergeant Marc Proctor, from the Staffordshire Police City Proactive Team, said: "We’re tightening the net on those involved in serious acquisitive crime each and every day across Staffordshire.
"I can assure local communities that burglary, theft and robbery remains a key focus area for proactive officers who are working around the clock to stop those responsible and put them before the courts."
A spokesperson for the force added: "Two men have been convicted in court after a car was taken at knifepoint in Wombourne. Dylan Maskery Hurd, 18, of Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, and Callum Talbot, 23, of Featherstone, appeared at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on Monday (20 January) after being charged with offences relating to the robbery last year.
"Maskrey Hurd and Talbot stole a Volkswagen Golf R on Brooke Road on 11 September. They launched an attack on the victim after demanding his car keys and took them from his pocket. Fortunately, the victim was not seriously injured.
"We later found the car abandoned on a car park off Terrace Street, Brierley Hill, near Dudley. Officers worked hard to capture all of the available evidence and identify the suspects from CCTV footage."
They added: "#OpYammer is our ongoing effort to proactively target those responsible for acquisitive crime in our communities. We’re working hard to investigate reports and to use all of our tactics and specialist resources to take down the criminal networks responsible for these types of crime."
