Man and two women seriously injured after two-car crash near Coventry
A man and two women sustained serious injuries following a two-car crash near Coventry. It happened yesterday afternoon (Wednesday, October 30).
Police closed off part of the A423 near Ryton-on-Dunsmore at around 4pm. Paramedics and the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance were also sent to the scene, West Midlands Ambulance Service said.
Crews found that a BMW and a Jaguar had been involved in a collision at the junction of Oxford Road and Freeboard Lane. A man, the driver of the BMW, was found critically injured and rushed to University Hospital Coventry in Walsgrave.

Two women from the second car were found to have sustained potentially serious injuries. Both were taken to University Hospital Coventry.
In a statement issued today (October 31), West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called to reports of an RTC at the junction of Oxford Road and Freeboard Lane at around 3.55pm yesterday (October 30). Two ambulances, a paramedic officer, and the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance attended.
“Crews discovered that a BMW and a Jaguar had been involved in a collision, and the driver of the first car, a man, was critically injured. Medics immediately began administering advanced trauma care before he was conveyed via land ambulance to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire.
“Two women from the second car were assessed and treated for potentially serious injuries before being conveyed to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire for further treatment.”
