Manchester United are planning to hold contract talks with Erik Ten Hag over a new deal, claim reports.

90min.com report renewal talks were 'always pencilled in for around 18 months into the initial deal' that Ten Hag signed.

He is currently signed up to June 2025 at Old Trafford, with the option of a further year.

90min.com report: "The Dutchman is contracted to United until June 2025 with the option to extend for a further year, but it's understood that renewal talks were always pencilled in for around 18 months into the initial deal. The club's hierarchy intend to continue with them and have already touched base with Ten Hag's camp."

Earlier this week, Jonny Evans praised Ten Hag despite the club’s slow start to the season.

Evans returned to Manchester United on a free transfer this summer after Leicester City’s relegation to the Championship.

“You know, it’s going to be very up and down. You’ve got to be able to deal with setbacks and this club is a fantastic club, always want to be challenging at the top, so it’s all part and parcel of it.

“The manager’s got a good thing going here.”
