Man who went missing from open prison arrested four days later in Essex
A man who went missing from an open prison has been arrested after being absent for four days. Jamie Langley, who was locked up for burglary, went missing on Wednesday (November 13).
Jamie, who had links to Essex, went missing from an open prison in Suffolk where he was serving a 16-year sentence. In a public appeal released on November 14, Suffolk Police said Langley had not turned up to a roll call at HMP Hollesley Bay, near Woodbridge in East Suffolk.
Langley becomes the most recent absconder of many over the years from HMP Hollesley Bay, an open men's prison usually for people nearing the end of their sentences. After being missing for four days, he was arrested in Essex yesterday (November 18).
