Man and woman 'extremely shaken' after five windows of Belfast home smashed with brick

A man and woman have been left 'extremely shaken' after five windows of their home were smashed in the middle of the night.

Police say they received a report of criminal damage caused to the property in the North Queen Street area of Belfast shortly before 2.50am this morning, that two men approached a house in the area and smashed five windows with a brick.

"The two suspects made off from the scene in a dark-coloured SUV type vehicle, which headed towards the New Lodge area," a PSNI spokesperson added.

"A man and woman were inside the house at the time of the report. They were not injured, but left extremely shaken by what happened. We are appealing to anyone who may have noticed anything suspicious in the North Queen Street area during this time or who may have noticed two men acting suspiciously to get in touch.

"One suspect was wearing dark clothing, whilst the second suspect was wearing a two tone grey top, grey bottoms and white trainers.

"Enquiries remain ongoing and anyone who has mobile, doorbell or CCTV footage that could help our investigation is asked to contact police on 101 quoting reference number 141 of 31/01/25."
