Man and woman 'suffer several injuries' after being hit by car in Jewellery Quarter
Police are appealing for witnesses after a car hit pedestrians in the Jewellery Quarter. The man and woman were crossing Vyse Street, in the heart of the area, when they were struck by a vehicle around 9pm on December 5.
The female victim suffered some serious wounds while the man sustained less serious injuries. The driver of the car stopped at the scene.
West Midlands Police are asking anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.

West Midlands Police said: "We are appealing for witnesses after a man and woman were hurt when they were hit by a car in Birmingham. It happened on Vyse Street in the Jewellery Quarter around 9pm on Thursday 5 December.
"It’s thought they were crossing the road when they were hit by a car. The woman suffered several injuries, some serious, while the man also suffered several less serious injuries.
"The driver of the car stopped at the scene and is helping us with our investigation. We’ve carried out a number of enquiries and we’re now asking for anyone who might have seen what happened to get in touch.
