Manchester attack: Police arrest three men over bomb attack at Ariana Grande concert that killed 22

Police have arrested three men in connection with the Manchester terror attack that killed 22 people.

Greater Manchester Police said they carried out raids in the south of the city on Wednesday as they continued to investigate the atrocity.

Suicide bomber Salman Abedi killed and injured crowds of people leaving an Ariana Grande concert at Manchester Arena on Monday night.

On Tuesday, a 23-year-old man was arrested in Chorlton in connection with the attack.

The arrests come after France's interior minister said Abedi is believed to have travelled to Syria and had "proven" links with Isis.

Gerard Collomb told French television that both British and French intelligence services had information that Abedi had been in Syria.

The disclosure came as Home Secretary Amber Rudd confirmed the UK security services had been aware of the British-born 22-year-old.

"We do know that he was known up to a point to the intelligence services," she told Sky News.

"I am sure that we will get more information about him over the next few days and the next few weeks."

On Wednesday, 29-year-old Martyn Hett was the latest victim of the attack to be named.

The former London student and PR manager, had attended the concert two days before he was due to embark on a two-month trip to the United States.
