Manchester-Born Actor and YPG Volunteer Michael Enright Plays Ariana Grande Song in Raqqa

Michael Enright, a Manchester-born actor and YPG volunteer, played an Ariana Grande song in Raqqa’s infamous Naim Square, the site of many Islamic State executions, during an interview with a Kurdish news outlet on October 21.

Following the 2017 Manchester attack, Enright said he felt “heartbreak” for the “kids” caught up in the attack. He called on people in Manchester and everywhere to “get behind” the Kurdish YPG militia in their fight against Islamic State. He said “We’re taking it to them. When I go to Raqqa, I’m giving them no quarter.” Credit: Facebook/ANF English via Storyful
