Manchester City have been to cleared to play Ederson and Gabriel Jesus today after concerns all week they would be banned for the match with Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.

The duo faced being suspended under FIFA rules that allow nations to enforce five-day suspensions if players are not released by clubs during the international window. However, late on Friday night, the Brazilian federation relented following talks with FIFA.

Both start after Brazil dropped their complaint to FIFA following the duo’s decision not to travel for international duty, while Kevin De Bruyne made the bench with Raheem Sterling and ex-Foxes forward Riyad Mahrez.

That means Guardiola’s side are unchanged from their 5-0 thumping of Arsenal for the trip to Leicester.

Phil Foden also begins on the bench and is set for a first involvement of the season after recovering from the foot injury he suffered during Euro 2020.

England teammate Jack Grealish makes his 100th Premier League appearance.

Manchester City confirmed XI: Ederson, Walker, Dias, Laporte, Joao Cancelo, Bernardo Silva, Rodri, Gundogan, Gabriel Jesus, Torres, Grealish.
