Rumours claiming that Manchester United are in the market for certain new signings this summer continue to swirl.

United are enjoying their start to the summer after winning the FA Cup against Manchester City last month. United qualified for the Europa League thanks to winning the trophy at Wembley Stadium, despite their eighth-place finish in the Premier League table.

Erik ten Hag's future as United manager continues to be the subject of speculation a week on from that triumph. Even so, the Reds continue to be linked with several possible new signings with the transfer window due to open later this month.

According to the Express, United are showing an interest in signing Sporting Lisbon defender Ousmane Diomande. The report claims that the Reds have identified the centre-back as a target this summer as they look to strengthen their defensive options.

It has been claimed that Sporting have set a £51 million asking price for Diomande's signature but may be willing to accept a fee as low as £35 million. The report goes on to say that United are weighing up submitting a bid but will only do so when the managerial situation at Old Trafford becomes clearer.

Elsewhere, United are being linked with a move with Bournemouth defender Milos Kerkez. According to talkSPORT, the Reds want to sign a new left-back to offer competition to Luke Shaw.

United have Shaw and Tyrell Malacia as their current left-back options. Shaw spent several weeks of the season on the sidelines through injury, while Malacia has not featured for the club since May last year, also due to injury.

The report claims that United are yet to decide whether or not they will submit an offer to sign Kerkez, but have identified the Hungary international as a possible target. No price tag has been reported only that there would need to be a "high fee" to see the left-back depart the Vitality Stadium.
