Manchester United could have a busy January transfer window if some of the latest reports are to be believed.

United completed five new signings during the summer window with Leny Yoro, Joshua Zirkzee, Noussair Mazraoui, Matthijs de Ligt and Manuel Ugarte all moving to Old Trafford. At the time, there were rumours that even more players could have been wanted by United ahead of the new Premier League season.

Erik ten Hag's future as United manager has been the subject of intense speculation in recent weeks. The Reds went into the October international break on the back of a goalless draw with Aston Villa and are currently 14th in the Premier League table with eight points from their first seven matches.

MEN Sport takes a look at some of the latest United transfer rumours that have been swirling over the last 24 hours.

Barcelona have reportedly made a decision regarding the future of Andreas Christensen amid links to United. The Reds were credited with an interest in signing the former Chelsea centre-back during the summer after adding Yoro and De Ligt to their squad.

According to Spanish news outlet Sport, Barcelona are looking to open talks with Christensen over a contract extension at the Camp Nou. Christensen's current deal expires in 2026, and the La Liga giants are reportedly keen to avoid the centre-back entering the final 12 months of his deal at the end of the season.

Christensen has been sidelined with an Achilles' injury he suffered back in August. Barcelona did not register the centre-back to their squad as a result of the injury, although that could change in January when Spanish clubs are allowed to register their players once again.

Elsewhere, Casemiro is being linked with a move away from United in the January transfer window. According to TEAMtalk, United may be open to allowing the Brazilian to leave the club in the New Year if a suitable offer arrives.

Casemiro was linked with a move away from United during the summer transfer window but has remained part of Ten Hag's squad. The United No.18 still has two years remaining on the contract he signed with the Reds in 2022, which also includes the option of a further year that could see the deal run until 2027.
