Manchester United legends David Beckham and Gary Neville spotted watching Wrexham play Birmingham
Manchester United and England greats David Beckham and Gary Neville were among a star-filled crowd watching Wrexham travel to Birmingham City in a high-flying League One clash on Monday. The pair were in attendance at the clash at Birmingham's St Andrew's @ Knighthead Park ground with the hosts' co-owner Tom Brady, a sporting legend in the NFL, and Wrexham's Hollywood star owner Ryan Reynolds also in the stands. reports BirminghamLive.
Ex-Real Madrid, PSG, and AC Milan player Beckham, now owner of Lionel Messi's side Inter Miami, was invited to the game by Birmingham's ownership group Knighthead for the match. Both Beckham and Brady are business partners. Romeo Beckham, David's son, was also there along with Beckham's former Manchester United and England teammate and Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville.
Neville has a strong connection with the EFL being a co-owner of League Two team Salford City alongside ex-United clubmates Phil Neville, Nicky Butt, Ryan Giggs, and Paul Scholes. Last Tuesday Neville's Salford suffered a 2-1 defeat to Wrexham in the Bristol Street Motors Trophy.
Brady and Beckham were sat alongside one another for the game and were seen celebrating as the Blues recovered from going a goal behind in the opening moments of the match to equalise through £10m striker Jay Stansfield before later going on to lead the match.
