Manchester United face a busy summer in the transfer market as Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his Ineos group look to recover after a disappointing season.

The club will have the chance to end a nightmare campaign on a high when they face Manchester City in the FA Cup final at Wembley on Saturday. But major changes are expected to be made after United finished eighth in the Premier League, their lowest top-flight finish since 1989/90.

And FootballTransfers have claimed that United are leading the race to sign Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise. The French youth international is also said to be attracting interest from Chelsea and Newcastle, but the report claims that United are his preferred destination if he departs Selhurst Park this summer.

The forward is reported to have a £60million release clause in his current contract which he signed last summer after strong reports linking him with a move to Stamford Bridge. Olise scored 10 goals alongside six assists from 14 league starts this season with his performances playing a key role in Palace's rise under Oliver Glasner.

Elsewhere, reports in Sport claim that United are ready to spend big in their attempts to land Barcelona centre-back Ronald Araujo. It is claimed that Chelsea are also interested in the defender whose current deal at the Catalan club ends in 2026.

It is said that the Uruguayan has been affected after his sending-off against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League quarter-finals last month. Araujo was shown a red card in the second leg of the tie for denying a clear goalscoring opportunity with Barcelona in control at the time before going out.
