Antonio Conte has dismissed the suggestion that he would select any of Manchester United's players ahead of his current Chelsea crop.

The Blues travel to Old Trafford on Sunday with a seven-point lead in the Premier League title race, while United face a fight to finish inside the top four.

Despite an underwhelming campaign, there have been a handful of individual success stories at United this term, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan among those to shine.

But Conte, who has rarely wavered from a settled starting XI while steering Chelsea towards the title this season, swerved questions on the quality at Jose Mourinho's disposal.

Asked whether any United players would get into his Chelsea squad, the Italian said: “No it is not a good question this.

“I think my players are the best in the world, it must be so and Manchester United have a lot of great players. They are United players, I keep my players. It is a good position.”

Ibrahimovic in particular has had a standout season for United.

The 35-year-old has scored 17 goals in 27 Premier League appearancesa this season.

Conte added: “I think he is in the top form of his career."
