Manchester United starlet Brandon Williams presents father with new Mercedes as birthday surprise

Manchester United youngster Brandon Williams has handed his father a birthday surprise he certainly won't forget in a hurry.

Heartwarming footage that circulated on social media on Thursday evening showed the teenage defender presenting his stunned dad with the keys to a brand new Mercedes.

"That one?" Williams Sr asks in disbelief while pointing to the car after being led outside to where his grinning son is waiting.

"Seriously? I've gone all shaky."

He adds: "Are you joking me? Are you taking the p**s?", to which the United man responds: "No. Go and take it out."

The video has already received nearly 50,000 likes on Twitter, with plenty of fans heaping praise on Williams' kind gesture.

"Never forget where you come from," one supporter wrote.

Another said: "Everyone dreams of being able to do this one day."

A third added: "Must be the best feeling in the world providing for your parents like this."

Local boy Williams has progressed through the ranks at Manchester United, impressing at Under-18 and Under-23 level before making his senior debut in the Carabao Cup third-round tie against League One Rochdale in September 2019.

A real rival to Luke Shaw for that starting left-back role under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Old Trafford with Ashley Young now departed, he went on to make 25 further senior appearances across all competitions before the 2019-20 English football season was suspended in March due to the coronavirus pandemic.
