New Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has told Aaron Wan-Bissaka he is not in his first-team plans for the future, according to a report.

The full-back, who was a £50m signing in July 2019, has been told he can leave the club by Ten Hag.

The Dutch boss arrived in London on Wednesday night for talks with chief executive Richard Arnold and football director John Murtough. And it appears news has been leaked of Ten Hag’s intentions because Sky Sports are reporting than Wan-Bissaka is available for transfer.

Wan-Bissaka had been a regular at right-back under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer this season. But he has found game time harder to come by under Ralf Rangnick. Of his 20 Premier League starts only seven have come under the German’s interim charge.

The former Crystal Palace man is contracted until 2024, with a year’s extension option. So United will expect a hefty fee for the former England Under-21 man.

United would prefer a permanent deal for the defender. But they are said to be willing to offer a loan with an obligation to buy.

The 24-year-old has been linked with a return to Crystal Palace.

BBC Sport have reported that Patrick Vieira is considering a move for Wan-Bissaka, who came through Palace’s academy.

He went on to make 46 appearances for the Eagles, before moving to Manchester United in 2019.

But Palace have been joined by Atletico Madrid and Roma in the hunt for Wan-Bissaka.

Ten Hag to decide over duo

Ekrem Konur has claimed Atletico boss Diego Simeone wants the United man on loan for 12 months with a permanent purchase option after that.

He will not be the only casualty under Ten Hag’s regime.

Talks with club officials in Holland last week left Ten Hag with decisions to make over three players.

Fabrizio Romano told Caughtoffside that Murtough wanted decisions on Marcus Rashford, Wan-Bissaka, and Eric Bailly.

And now with Wan-Bissaka set to move on, the spotlight will now fall on Rashford and Bailly.

Neither have featured regularly under Rangnick, although the former has had opportunities.

Rashford has managed just four goals in 25 Premier League appearances this season. His form has been well below par, but he has a deal until 2023, with a 12-month option.

Bailly meanwhile, who has made four Premier League appearances this term, has a deal until 2024.
