Manchester United vs Barcelona: Where to watch the Champions League Quarter Final in London

Two footballing giants go head to head on Wednesday April 10, when Manchester United take on Barcelona at Old Trafford from 8pm.

It’s the first European tie since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was named permanent United boss last month, and it’s set to be the biggest night of his managerial career to date.

United will be boosted after their heroics last time out in the competition, which saw them win 3-1 away from home at PSG to overturn a steep first-leg deficit.

It was one of United’s most memorable European nights in recent memory, but only time will tell whether they can progress further against Barcelona.

Their opponents go into the game on the back of an imperious run of form. The Spanish giants are currently eight points clear at the top of La Liga, having demolished Lyon 5-1 in their last Champions League match.

It’s also the first time the sides have met in the competition since the 2011 final, which saw Barcelona run away 3-1 winners.

Plenty of locals will likely be showing the match in London, but below are some of our favourite places to catch the action.

Our pick of the pubs — Broadleaf

Broadleaf is one of the smartest sports bars in the city, tucked away just around the corner from Liverpool Street station. The botanical-themed main bar is a plush space to relax during the game, while the upstairs bar is good for bigger groups. There are seven big screens, while the projector is also used for big games.

One of the biggest selling points is the food, which is very good — especially when it comes to matchday essentials like burgers, nachos and sharing plates. If you’re looking for a place to head straight after the office, this could be the perfect option.
