Manchester United vs Juventus
Uefa Champions League 2018/19
Venue: Old Trafford
Date: Tuesday, 23 October
Kick-off: 8pm BST

Manchester United welcome Cristiano Ronaldo back to Old Trafford tonight as Jose Mourinho faces another huge test against Italian champions Juventus.

Ronaldo heads back to Manchester amid accusations he sexually assaulted a woman in the United States in 2009 - an accusation the former Old Trafford forward strenuously denies.

The 33-year-old Portugal international is available after serving a one-match suspension following a red card against Valencia, and Mourinho's defence - out of sorts so far this season - will be tasked with stopping last season's top scorer in the Champions League.

The two sides have met 12 times in Uefa competitions, each winning five games and sharing two draws.

The last time they met in the Champions League was back in 2002-03, with United beating Juve 2-1 at home and 3-0 away in the second group stage.

United fans will also fondly remember the dramatic semi-final comeback in over Juve en route to lifting the 1998-99 Champions League trophy to complete the Treble.
