Manchester United vs Tottenham | FA Cup | Wembley Stadium

Manchester United have reached the FA Cup Final to condemn Tottenham to an eighth straight semi-final defeat.

Spurs took the lead inside 11 minutes of the match after Dele Alli stroked home Christian Eriksen’s cross after a delightful through-ball from Davinson Sanchez.

But Mauricio Pochettino’s side were unable to capitalise on their early dominance, and United began to settle into the match.

Jose Mourinho’s side would draw themselves level inside 25 minutes as former Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez out-jumped Tottenham’s defence to head Paul Pogba’s cross past Michel Vorm.

The sides went in level at the break, but it would be United who would score the crucial second- with Ander Herrera’s low drive on 62 minutes.

Pochettino needed a response, but his Tottenham team failed to provide one. The belief they showed in the opening exchanges seem to dissipate as United asserted control over their opponents to secure their passage to the Final, where they await the winners of Chelsea and Southampton, who face-off at Wembley on Sunday.
