Manchester United vs Wolves
Premier League 2018/19
Venue: Old Trafford
Date: Saturday, 22 September, 2018
Kick-off: 3pm BST

Manchester United face an intriguing Premier League test on Saturday as they welcome Wolves to Old Trafford.

United suffered back-to-back League defeats to spark talk of a club in crisis, but the Red Devils have won their last three matches - including Wednesday's 3-0 Champions League victory over Young Boys - to steady the ship.

But while United look to be back on track, they face a Wolves side full of confidence after a positive start to the campaign, and Nuno Espirito Santo - touted in recent weeks as a potential future United manager - will want to get one over on compatriot Jose Mourinho in his own back yard.

Head to head

The two teams have met eight times in the Premier League, with United winning six of those and Wolves eight.

Wolves have never beaten United at Old Trafford in the League, and the last time these two sides met - during the 2011-12 season - United won 4-1 at home and 5-0 away.

Team news

Marcus Rashford is once again unavailable as he serves the second match of a three-game suspension, while Nemanja Matic is also suspended after a red card at Watford.

That means Marouane Fellaini will start in midfield, with Fred - who played against Young Boys - also set to retain his place despite being dropped for domestic duties in recent weeks.

Anthony Martial scored against Young Boys, but may be back on the bench with Alexis Sanchez set to be reinstated. Diogo Dalot impressed in Switzerland, but Antonio Valencia should return at right-back.

Mourinho will also be missing injured trio Phil Jones, Ander Herrera and Marcos Rojo.

Wolves have no injury problems to contend with for the trip to Manchester.
