Manhunt after £4m car park robbery of jewellery salesman

A jewellery salesman was robbed of gems worth more than £4 million in an ambush at a multi-storey car park.

Police today issued an image of Ciro Troyano, who is wanted for conspiracy to commit robbery and assault causing grievous bodily harm in connection with the robbery in Staines.

The victim was getting out of his car in the Elmsleigh Centre car park between 7.30am and 8.30am on May 13 when a group of men assaulted him and made off with a bag containing the jewellery and personal belongings.

The victim needed hospital treatment for serious injuries. Troyano is described as white, 5ft 6in, and of medium build. He is known to have links to Elephant and Castle, Southwark and Brixton.

Two men aged 39 and 48 were arrested today in London as part of the investigation.

Detective Sergeant Kate Hyder said: “We are urgently trying to track down Ciro Troyano. We are looking for any information, no matter how insignificant it might seem, which could lead us to where he is.

“The victim was left with nasty injuries following the attack and we are keen to ensure that those responsible are brought to justice.”
