Man's body found in Leeds stream Wyke Beck - police statement in full
A body of a man has been discovered in a stream flowing through Leeds.
The body was found by a member of the public in Wyke Beck near Foxwood Farm Way, in Gipton, at about 8am today (Friday, November 29). Emergency crews confirmed the man was dead at the scene, after retrieving him from the water.
West Yorkshire Police presently don't believe there are any suspicious circumstances surrounding the man's death. A scene has been erected in the area while enquiries remain ongoing.

A force spokesperson said: "Shortly before 8am this morning, police were called to Wyke Beck near Foxwood Farm Way, Gipton where a member of the public reported seeing a body in the water.
"Emergency services attended and the body of a man was recovered from the water. He was confirmed deceased.
"Enquiries are continuing and a scene is currently in place. At this time, there is not thought to be any suspicious circumstances regarding the death."
