Man's jaw broken in New Year's Day punch in Leicestershire town
A man suffered a broken jaw when he was punched in the face on New Year's Day in a Leicestershire town centre. Police said the 33-year-old was at an unnamed premises in Market Street, in Ashby town centre, when the incident happened, at around 1am on Monday, January 1.
The man was taken to hospital following the incident, and has since been discharged. Leicestershire Police has today (Monday, February 2) issued images of two people they want to speak to in connection with the assault.
Anyone who recognises the men in the images or knows who they may be is being asked to get in touch with the force. Police said the men might have information which could help them with their inquiries.
