When do schools break up for Christmas?

The Christmas break will typically begin on the week of December 18, 2023, and will last for two weeks.

A number of London councils have set the school holidays for Friday, December 22, until Friday, January 5, meaning children will be back in school on Monday, January 8.

However, schools and academies set their own term dates, so Christmas holiday dates may vary from school to school.
