How many episodes are in new BBC drama Kidnapped The Chloe Ayling Story?
A fresh drama series centred on the kidnapping of Page 3 model Chloe Ayling has been released by the BBC. Kidnapped: The Chloe Ayling Story, set to air on BBC Three, recounts her journey to Milan for a photoshoot, where she was subsequently drugged with ketamine, abducted and woke up handcuffed in a car boot in 2017.
Her agent, Phil Green, later received a $300,000 ransom email from The Black Death Group. This turned out to be a fictitious crime group created by Ayling's kidnapper Herba who also penned the email under the pseudonym 'MD'.
The series explores her fight for freedom, the investigation into the abduction and scepticism from the public and media about aspects of her kidnapping and its authenticity.
Nadia Parkes takes on the role of Chloe Ayling, Julian Swiezewski plays MD/Lukasz Herba, Adrian Edmondson stars as Phil Green, Nigel Lindsay portrays PR expert Adrian Sington, Olive Gray is Amber, Eleonora Romandini plays Nicoletta, Chiara Baccelliere and Jaroslaw Ciepichal feature as Micha Herba.
Many viewers will be eager to dive into the new series, but how many episodes are there? Kidnapped: The Chloe Ayling Story consists of six episodes, with each episode running between 27 and 29 minutes.
All episodes of Kidnapped: The Chloe Ayling Story are available on BBC iPlayer from 6am on Wednesday, August 14, with episodes airing on BBC Three from 9pm that evening.
The drama, which received Chloe Ayling's cooperation and draws from official legal documents, interviews, research, as well as her own book "Kidnapped", will also delve into the hefty media scrutiny she underwent following the harrowing event.
