Scores of people over 25 in England have been struggling to book their first Covid vaccine, despite the jab rolling out to the lowered age group on Tuesday morning. Thousands of people have dealt with glitches on the NHS website when trying to schedule their doses including reportedly being told they are ineligible to book, or receiving no suggestion how long wait time is in the queue. Health Secretary Matt Hancock announced on Monday that people aged 25 to 29 would be able to book vaccine appointments from Tuesday June 8th. Just over 40 million people in the UK have now received at least one vaccine dose, while around 28 million have been administered both.
