Map of Cornwall's cheapest and most expensive places to live
The cheapest and most expensive places to buy a home in Cornwall have been revealed. According to the latest data, the likes of Camborne, Redruth and Bodmin remain up there with the most affordable places.
Meanwhile, Marazion, Fowey, and Padstow are among the most expensive areas to buy a home in Cornwall. However, Padstow has seen the biggest drop in house prices across the county in the last 12 months at -33.4 per cent. Cawsand, on the other hand, has seen the largest increase at 28.9 per cent.
Overall, Camborne is the cheapest place to buy a home in Cornwall as homes in the TR14 postcode area sold for an average of £235,062 each in the 12 months to the end of August. That’s less than any postcode area in our county with at least 20 sales over the last year.

Redruth is the next cheapest place in our county to buy a home. Houses sold for £238,329 each on average in the TR15 postcode area.
That’s followed by PL31 ( Bodmin ) with an average home sold for £239,072, PL14 ( Liskeard ) with an average home sold for £266,443 and PL32 (Camelford) with an average home sold for £272,878.

Fowey has the highest average sale price of any postcode area in Cornwall to have had at least 50 sales over the last 12 months. Houses sold for an average of £642,444 in the PL23 postcode area.
The PL28 area was the next most expensive place to buy a home in our county. The average home in Padstow sold for an average of £556,649 last year.
That’s followed by TR5 (St Agnes) with an average home sold for £548,826, PL27 ( Wadebridge ) with an average home sold for £506,541 and TR2 ( Truro ) with an average home sold for £488,476.
