Marazion fire engulfs two vehicles before spreading to nearby building

Firefighters battled a fire involving two vehicles which began to spread to a nearby garage this evening, Monday, January 20. The fire broke out on Trevenner Square, Marazion, at around 6.30pm.

Two crews from Penzance rushed to the scene and found two vehicles involved in the fire. Firefighters began battling the blaze as it began to spread to a nearby garage.

The cause of the fire is not known at this time. It is not thought that anyone suffered any injuries.

Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service said: "Two pumping appliances from Penzance responded to this incident.

"On arrival a fire involving two vehicles and spreading to a garage was discovered.

"Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus sets used two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire."
