Police were searching for a 15-year-old girl from Surrey who was missing for five days and spotted on CCTV footage with a man on a train.

Margaret Moloney, from the town of Godalming, went missing from her home in the early hours of Wednesday.

Police then released CCTV images of Margaret with a man on a train travelling from Woking to Basingstoke.

He bought tickets for Moreton-in-Marsh in Gloucestershire and they are believed to have caught a train in that direction.

UPDATE: Surrey Police said Margaret was found safe and well on Sunday night in Leeds by West Yorkshire Police. An 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of abduction, police said.

Surrey Police wanted to speak to anyone who recognised the man or anyone who saw the pair travelling together on Wednesday.

Officers said Margaret did not have any known links to the Gloucestershire area and that she may have caught another train or got off at a different station.

She was described as white, with long blonde hair and blue eyes. She is 5 ft 5 tall and of a slim build.

When she was last seen, she wore a navy blue hooded rain coat, dark trousers and white trainers.

The man was described as in his early 20s. He is about 6 foot and of muscular build. He wore a burgundy long sleeve top and black knee length shorts and carried a backpack.

Sergeant Dan Smith said: "Margaret, if you are reading this then please make contact with us so that we know you are ok. You are not in any trouble but we do want to hear from you.”
