The 27-year-old actress arrived to screaming fans as she graced the red carpet in London’s Leicester Square for the glitzy event on Wednesday night.

Robbie was all smiles as she signed autographs and posed for fans who had been treated to a performance by The Coldstream Guard brass band as they awaited the arrival of the film’s biggest stars.

She was close to being upstaged by her co-star Will Tilston who made his acting debut as Christopher Robin in the film.

The young actor looked delighted to be working his first red carpet as he arrived in shiny black shoes to hundreds of fans.

He was eased into the overwhelming experience by Kelly MacDonald who plays his nanny Olive in the film, before being joined by Domhnall Gleeson who plays his onscreen father and famed children’s author A.A. Milne.

Gleeson said he had to implement some “strong” rules about how he interacted with Tilston on set in order to capture the relationship between a father and his son during the early 1900’s.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly he said: “It was a very different time. So we had to kind of lay down some pretty strong things at the beginning, and say to Will: ‘Look, it’s going to feel like we’re not friends sometimes during the day… At the end of every day, we’ll be friends again. But sometimes, it’s going to be hard’.

“Like, I’ve got to shout at him, and scare him. And he was great, because he was able to do the same thing. We would give each other time and space before getting ready for scenes.

“But we played all the time. He’s a really funny kid. We made each other laugh a lot. I’ve probably got the sense of humour of a 10-year-old, so that works out well! Lots of fart jokes.”

Goodbye Christopher Robin tells the true story of how A. A. Milne found inspiration for his famous story, Winnie the Pooh, through his son.

Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Alex Lawther also star.

Goodbye Christopher Robin is slated for UK cinema release on September 29.
