Maria Menounos just made the case for shopping in your own closet.

The TV host and personality posted two mirror selfies on Instagram Sunday, July 7, showing off a red mini dress she recycled for a friend's wedding.

"This dress is 15 years old!!! Ha!" Menounos, 46, began her caption. "The last time I wore this dress was for an @aliceandolivia event in 2009."

"Yes, it’s okay to rewear outfits, and staples like this dress are so great to keep in your closet to rewear many times!! Wore it to my friends wedding this past weekend and it was perfect because it was HOT and I was cool as a 🥒 top it off with some good glam-thnx @makeupbyliz and @justinemarjan and boom wedding wknd made easy!"

Menounos paired the dress with gold necklaces and wore her hair in a long braid. She concluded the post by telling her followers that having favorite pieces to wear is key during her early years of motherhood.

"Being a new mom it’s hard to do it all so my closet of staples saves me every time. ❤️," she wrote.

The television personality previously wore the bright dress to an Alice + Olivia dinner held at the brand's store at the Malibu Lumber Yard. She finished the look off with a statement necklace and tan strappy heels at the time.

Menounos told PEOPLE in November that becoming a mom didn't mean she needed to start dressing a certain way, referring to a revealing two-piece she wore to the Miss Universe pageant last year.
