Marilyn Manson: Johnny Depp Was Crucified In Amber Heard Divorce

The Sweet Dreams rocker has defended his old friend against domestic abuse accusations made by the 30-year-old actress during their bitter split, saying they’re “bulls**t”.

Amber filed for divorce from 53-year-old Johnny back in May and claimed he’d been abusive toward her throughout their 15-month marriage.

She claimed that in their last explosive row, he hurled an iPhone at her face and following pictures published of her bruised cheek, she successfully got a restraining order against the actor.

But Marilyn strongly believes there is no truth to her story and has rushed to the defence of the star - who has children Lily-Rose, 17, and Jack, 14, with ex-partner Vanessa Paradis - in an interview with The Daily Beast. He said: ‘Lily-Rose is my goddaughter and I was there when Jack was born, so we go back. Johnny is one of the nicest people that I know - to the extent where it’s almost heartbreaking how kind he is to his friends, and everyone around him. I know that he was completely crucified - unjustly.

‘Of course I think that all of it was bulls**t, and I think that he is a great person. I wouldn’t agree with any of it if someone were to put me on the stand and ask me what I know, or what I’ve witnessed.’

Johnny and Amber settled out of court last month and The Danish Girl actress was awarded $7 million from the actor, all of which she donated to charity.

Speaking about his friendship with The Hollywood Vampires guitarist, Marilyn added: ‘I would stand by him on anything. As my friend, I know that he’s handling it the best he can and he’s a great dad, too. It fills me with joy to see his kids grow up and be so smart, and so hilarious.

‘We played a show together not too long ago. It’s hard to say when you talk about your friends.’
