Mark 'The Beast' Labbett has hired a bodyguard after repeatedly getting "sexually assaulted" at gigs.

The 'Chase' star claimed he is regularly groped while making public appearances at student nights around the country so has enlisted a minder to help keep wandering hands at bay.

He told the Sun on Sunday newspaper: “I can safely say on any given gig I get my a*** felt up to four times.

“Every gig I get sexually assaulted.

“The worst one, I was wearing jeans and the woman grabbed my meat and two veg through them.

“If I’d have done that to her I’d be in the cells.

“I felt violated.

“I’ve got a guy I work with now and he keeps an eye for me and will detect when something like that is going to happen.”

“I do a lot of student gigs and I get the young ladies who are only 19 or 20, I say, ‘love, leave me alone’. "

The 56-year-old quizzer - who has been single since splitting from wife Katie in 2020 - insisted he is too busy to find love again.

He added: “I’m too busy for a relationship.”

The 'Beat The Chasers' star previously admitted fans even ask him for selfies when he's going to the toilet.

He said: “People always want photos with me. I don’t know why, but they do. It has become part of the job.

“I get asked for selfies in the toilet quite a lot. When that happens, I generally say, ‘Can you wait until we get outside please?’.

“People come up to me when I’m shopping, too.

“People often ask me trivia questions on either football or capital cities and ­generally I get them right.”
