Yahoo News Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher 'made out like teenagers'
Just in case The Last Jedi doesn't have enough wow factor to blow your mind this week, Mark Hamill has recalled a story from the set of the first ever Star Wars movie in 1977 – and it involves he and Carrie Fisher "making out like teenagers".
The Luke Skywalker actor "knew from previous jobs" that on-set romances were simply not a good idea, but he explained that "Carrie and I were instantly attracted to each other".
"I remember one time – I'm sure alcohol was involved – we were talking about kissing techniques," he told The Guardian. "I said: 'Well, I think I'm a fairly good kisser. I like to let the women come to me rather than be aggressive.' And she said: 'What do you mean?' Well, next thing you know we're making out like teenagers!
"We were all over each other! But the one thing that drew Carrie and me back from the precipice was we kind of became aware of what we were doing and just burst out laughing. Which was unfortunate for me because the rocket launch sequence had been initiated."
Excuse us, Mark Hamill, we just need to compose ourselves.
The Star Wars actor went on to say that after their romance had fizzled out, he and Fisher "became like real siblings". Awww.
Last Jedi director Rian Johnson dedicated last week's world premiere to the late Carrie Fisher, who makes her final appearance as General Leia Organa in the film.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi is out in the UK now and will be released in the US on December 15.
