Mark Zuckerberg is the ultimate wife guy!
On Tuesday, August 13, the Facebook founder, 40, shared on Instagram that he commissioned a statue of his wife Priscilla Chan, 39, to express his love in the way of the ancient Romans.
In the photo, Chan is seen sipping out of a travel mug while wearing a dusty pink robe with white and blue details as she stands next to the statue depicting her likeness. The colorful artwork is made by Daniel Arsham and depicts the mother of three standing in a wind-blown silver garment.
"Bringing back the Roman tradition of making sculptures of your wife," Zuckerberg captioned the post, which also included a video of the statue in a garden.
Chan shared the post to her Instagram Stories with a cheeky comment, writing, "You can’t miss me!"
A blog about Roman sculptures by National Museums Liverpool states that statues and busts from the period were often made to honor late loved ones or "to refer to significant relatives and to make meaningful associations."
