Marks & Spencer has recalled a popular product and issued a 'do not eat' warning to those with allergies. Some packs of M&S Chocolate Cornflake Mini Bites had not been labelled properly, the Food Standards Agency (FSA) said.

The sweet treats contain hazelnuts, oats and wheat, which has not been mentioned on the label. The FSA said this presented a 'possible health risk' to those with certain allergies, intolerance or coeliac disease.

The 180g packs with a best-before date of August 6, 2024, were specifically affected. People have been encouraged to return the product to the store it was bought from for a full refund.

The FSA said: "Marks & Spencer is recalling M&S Chocolate Cornflake Mini Bites because they contain hazelnuts (nuts), oats (gluten) and wheat (gluten), which are not mentioned on the label. This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to hazelnuts (nuts) and/or for anyone with coeliac disease and/or an allergy or intolerance to oats, wheat or gluten.

"The company has also issued a recall notice to its customers. These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tells them what to do if they have bought the product.
