Marks & Spencer's sell-out velvet suit is a must for party season and Christmas
Party season is officially here and we're starting to think about what to wear for those big festive occasions. Luckily, M&S has really delivered with its deep red velvet suit this Christmas.
There's something so effortlessly chic about a velvet suit, particularly when the blazer has a relaxed silhouette and the wide-leg trousers are ultra flattering.

When the brand shared a photo of the M&S Collection velvet two-piece, styled by influencer Caroline of @carolinesstylehacks, calling it 'the suit everyone is talking about', it really wasn't exaggerating – and the post has been flooded with likes and comments from shoppers.
Oh-so-easy to style, we'd wear the suit over a simple cami and pair with barely there sandals for a sophisticated take on party season dressing.
At just over £100 for the full set, this velvet co-ord is one of those classic investments you'll dig out year after year. Much like sequins, velvet will always feel right at this time of year. Plus, you can style the blazer and trousers separately to create multiple Christmas looks.
