MAFS UK fans cheer on Alfie as he rakes Adam 'over hot coals'
Viewers were thrilled to see Polly's best friend questioning her husband's behaviour
What did you miss?
Married at First Sight viewers were cheering on Polly's best friend as he took Adam to task over saying he wasn't attracted to her.
Adam and Polly have tied the knot on the Channel 4 reality show but from the day they met at the altar, Adam has made it clear that he doesn't feel a "spark" as Polly is "not my usual type". He has also told her that he prefers "unreal" brunettes.
Polly's friend Alfie was unimpressed on their wedding day, saying he was worried that Polly was going to get hurt. And when he returned in the latest episode, for the visits from home stage, he took the opportunity to quiz Adam about his feelings.
What, how and why?
In the episode, Alfie visited Polly and Adam at their apartment, along with Adam's friend Richard. Alfie wasted no time, telling Adam: "I was p***** off at the wedding." "That did upset me," he said of Adam's comments about Polly not being his type.
Adam looked awkward as he suggested he may not have worded it in the best way. But he added: "I think I was just being honest."
"I appreciate honesty," Alfie replied. "But she does really like you, do you know what I mean? There is genuine emotion and connection from her end. I hope that that is reciprocated."
Polly waded in to insist that Adam was "really attentive" and made an effort in the way he spoke to her, although she admitted: "It's not where I'd like it to be sexually."
But Alfie didn't seem to be convinced, saying: "I really don't want Polly to get too invested in this situation right now. Polly falls for men really easily and she can give her all to something and if that isn't being reciprocated I would hate to see her hurt again."
What did viewers say?
Fans were thrilled to see Alfie again, with some even saying he deserved to be one of the show's dating experts. One posted on X: "Alfie is saying it as it is. Listen to him, lady." "Alfie’s face and occasional mmm-hmms are SCREAMING ‘why are you still with him Polly?!’" said another.
Somebody else remarked: "Loving Polly's bestie. He has totally got her down. He's telling her exactly what she needs to hear!"
"Alfie’s having Adam over hot coals," said another, adding a laughing emoji. "LOVING seeing Alfie again get him on as an expert next year," one person urged.
Somebody else asked: "Can Alfie be a staple of #MAFSUK? Less manufactured fajita drama, and more steely-eyed bestie pointing out when behaviour just isn't good enough?" "We all need a friend like Alfie," said another.
