Married at First Sight fans shocked as Caspar storms out of dinner party
Caspar said he'd 'had enough' as he walked out of the room
What did you miss?
Married at First Sight fans were stunned as Caspar lost his cool and stormed out of the latest dinner party, declaring: "I'm done."
Caspar has struggled to bond with his wife Emma since they met and tied the knot on the Channel 4 show. They got off to a rocky start after he admitted he had never been attracted to "curvy" women and told Emma she reminded him of his sister, and their marriage has been an uphill struggle since then.
Things went from bad to worse in the latest episode when the honesty box came out - leaving Caspar fuming and walking out.
What, how and why?
In the episode, Caspar ended up with the honesty box - which contains questions for the couples to answer - and was asked how the pair could get things back on track. He seemed to irk Emma straightaway when he commented on the "fragility" she'd shown when her sister visited, saying it was a more attractive side of her and something he could "relate to".
"I cried at the f****** sight of them," Emma replied. "I wouldn't say that that is me generally," she added.
"I feel like I am the one that's been asked to make all the changes," Caspar said, saying he felt as if Emma wasn't taking on board that she may need to make some changes too and that he was "running out of energy for it".
He then stood up from the table as everyone looked on in surprise and walked away, saying he needed to "get out of that b*******". "I've had f****** enough of it," he said.
"One mistake, one f****** mistake! It's not just f****** me!"
What did viewers say?
Many fans were unimpressed as Caspar let rip, with one posting a message on X telling him to "bore off".
"Caspar losing control and having a petulant meltdown is awful and doesn't show maturity of a husband," said another. "What is it that she has to change though Caspar," asked someone else. "You don’t like her or feel attracted to her. Why should she change?"
"The nerve of Caspar you started it mate she’s got a right to feel what she feels, Period," said someone else.
However, others suggested it was time for Emma to move on from Casper's mistake. "I think Caspar has a point here," said one. "He made one mistake and is constantly paying for it. She does need to be more vulnerable with him and if it’s not her then she needs to let go."
Others thought it was time for the pair to leave the social experiment altogether. "Caspar and Emma's marriage will never ever be 'on track'," said one. "It is already too far off the rails, just pack it in."
